Hunter Walker, MSW, LCSWA
Hunter Walker, MSW, LCSWA is a clinical social worker who is passionate about empowering individuals to achieve their most fulfilling and purposeful life. Hunter utilizes a strength-based approach while working with individuals, couples, and families. She stands firmly on the belief that every client has valuable strengths. One of Hunter’s goals as a therapist is to highlight the client’s strengths and utilize them throughout their therapeutic journey! Hunter has experience working with various life issues including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, substance use disorders, trauma, grief, ADHD, and life transitions. Clients can always expect a warm, empathetic, and highly collaborative therapeutic relationship with Hunter. She aims to offer the safest and most comfortable environment throughout her client’s experience in therapy.
Hunter strives to continue learning new information related to therapy and the social work field to provide her clients with the most up-to-date approaches and techniques.
Hunter earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Meredith College and a Master of Social Work from East Carolina University. She grew up in Chapel Hill, North Carolina (Go Heels!) and has lived there nearly her entire life. She loves to spend time with friends and family, taking trips to the beach, reading, and being active outdoors!
